3:25 what fuse are you pulling? The steering column lock? We have an 03 745 that will not start and are troubleshooting.

i just had my motor replace a week ago and now am having the same steering wheel lock light coming on Car starts and runs fine but the lights doesn't go away, wonder if i do the same thing that you did in this video, would that turn off the steering wheel lock light off? Remote still opens and closes the door and actives the alarm

I wouldn’t spend a penny on that car. Save yourself some time, money, sanity and send it straight back to auction. The Peugeot engines in the R56 are extremely unreliable. I know I owned one and certainly won’t buy another.

I just spent $429.23 for a new key on my 2007 Bmw 530i😡 I had to get a new key I couldn’t believe it but when I put the new key in it started rite up

Nissan Altima’s have a steering column lock issue, too, I see it at AAA and I usually offer a tow, but if you could let me know a way to disengage it, I would be ecstatic, but I have a feeing it’s a mechanical malfunction rather than electrical

Cooper stick should be yellow or red handle spring material or stiff cable the test end is usually a cylinder of alloy with a flat end and steps every 1/8 inch

I’m almost certain all the S models were completely loaded other than the JCW john Cooper works edition. And either option with the sunroof I had an S with no sunroof and they are all panoramic. My last S was the supercharged version 6 speed super fun.

My first car was a red one just like this. Ridiculously fun to drive with an unmatched ability to weave in and out of traffic. However, it burned up 3 clutches in 5 years, among many other BMW type issues, so it got traded in.

Omg, that’s a Peugeot engine from PSA. Horrible oil consuming engine, i had one in my peugeot 308 from 2008. After I found out mini’s had the same engines I never wanted one any more. But I still like the looks of the mini.

Surprised by the comments on Mini being unreliable.. You must beat the sh*t out of your cars. I’ve had my Mini Cooper S for six years and only had to change the brakes and oil. Best car made based on sheer simplicity. Take care of your cars and they will do the same.

the only reliable Mini engine since BMW owns them is the diesel put in the R56. Because it's not made by BMW but by PSA

It is a great deal. Hell the mini roof rack is also OEM. You could probably clean that up and sell it for $150-200.

i have an 06 Range and i usually disconnect the negative for a second and put it backfor the key to work... theres a way to drill a tiny hole into the column and spray lubricant into it to get the actuator unstuck... worked on mine for a few months and stopped again recently...

BMW ( Bury More Wealth ) has the better idea but their system of immobilization is flawed. Got new key programed at Toy dealer for $ 84.50. Mini's make nice clown cars but it is Detroit Iron you should be after. A LOT less hassles. The trust and the legend is that you require a Swiss bank to maintain one. Opel is a better value. Drop the name chic. Cheers.

It seemed like this would be an interesting video , however nothing happened and there appears to be a lot of repeated explanations and possibilities. Also it had time fillers about cows, slober and golf cars. Not like your usual productions.

Blameing a trustable, genius, legendary automobile brand for a bad desicion is just dumb. And regarding the known issues, you should ivestigate Kia´s most common issues and failures... just to get a clear picture and make a good comparison.

I think the mistake was buying anything made by bmw They are doing what Mercedes in the 90s by trying to do stuff on the cheep but charge premium money We bought a mini in 2007 and sold it in 2008 Looked stunning but was broken more than not never again anything with that blue and white badge on it 👎🏻👎🏻🤬🤬

So I had this very exact problem on my Mini Cooper, since I couldn’t code the CAS* module I had to take it to Mini Cooper dealership here in NV. It was $600 for a VIN cas modules to my cooper and free labor cause I installed it my self... it failed however lucky me they were able to order another CAS module and they did it themselves free .... saved my ass now my cooper was running amazing again! Until I blew the head 😭

I picked up a 2007 Mini Cooper S with 110K miles on the Odometer, not long ago for $1900. The only major issue it had was a turbo leaking oil into the intake. I replaced the turbo, upgraded the intercooler, and replaced the intercooler and radiator hoses. These are fun cars to drive.

07 is definitely one of the worst model years. It was the first year of 2nd gen and they had a lot of issues. I’ve owned 2 minis now (R53 and R60) and I wouldn’t get another one, way too many issues and they’re so overpriced for what you get.
